Väinämöinen returns

The fire artists of Flamma bid farewell to ancient Finnish world in a fiery spectacle trimmed with music, dance, tricking and special effects. In the third installment of our Kalevala-trilogy, Louhi, the ruler of the North, grinds the magical Sampo with greed and lust for power. The effect is reflected on today's world so that people have been turned into slaves and chained into a running wheel of the eternal rat race. Väinämöinen hears about the plight of the people and decides to return. First, he must free Louhi's prisoners Lemminkäinen and the Maiden of North before he can face his final challenge and set the whole mankind free.

Now you have a unique opportunity to see the last fire theater production from Flamma in the national scenery of Pyynikki. The theater-like fireshow of Flamma is a world apart from regular theater, and leaves muchs space for the spectator to project her own ideas to the play. It can be an experience that fascinates of baffles according to the viewer. Flamma is the biggest fire troupe in Finland, and they perform to tens of thousands of people all around the country every year. Behind Flamma is Tulikollektiivi Flamma RY, which is an association promoting fire- and light art. The fire theater is produced by co-op Ajan pyörä.
