The requirements for costumes in fire arts are rigorous: no synthetic fabrics are allowed. If it catches fire, in the worst case in can melt into the skin. The best natural materials are leather and thick layers of natural fibers like cotton. Other materials include bits and pieces of metal, studs, clasps and rings.

Blacklight costumes are made with blacklight reactive fabrics. These are mainly synthetic fibers and are not used with fire for safety reasons. Flamma's costumes are taken care of by Arya Huotari.
